Podcasts have become a driving force in media and a new tool for marketing. Here are some of our team’s favourite podcasts; some for business, some for entertainment.
The Goal Digger Podcast by Jenna Kutcher
This podcast is full of productivity tips, business hacks, and inspirational stories. She has an approachable style and each episode is roughly a half-hour, which makes it easy to fit into the day. Jenna tackles everything from practical advice about business and money to more emotional topics like making friends as an adult and how to get over imposter syndrome.
The Marie Forleo Podcast by Marie Forleo
Marie’s podcast tends to be heavier on the inspirational, big-idea content rather than tactics and tips. She’s like your best friend cheerleader who just wants you to be as awesome as you dream you could be. Her guests share their strategies for greater happiness, success, motivation, productivity, creativity, and fulfillment – with a good dose of silliness along the way.
Online Marketing Made Easy by Amy Porterfield
Amy’s podcast is less inspirational and more practical but she also has that friendly approachable style that I like. It’s like a friend giving you her best marketing tips. A lot of her content is about growing your email list and running digital courses, which doesn’t always apply to me but I can always find a relatable episode like how to repurpose content, writing better copy, or creating impactful lead magnets.
The Tim Ferriss Show by Tim Ferriss
In each episode, Tim deconstructs world-class performers in a variety of fields (investing, sports, business, art, etc.) to extract the tactics, tools, and routines you can use. This includes favorite books, morning routines, exercise habits, time-management tricks, and much more.
Past guests include Neil Gaiman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, LeBron James, Ray Dalio, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Edward Norton, Tony Robbins, Maria Sharapova, Jamie Foxx, Maria Popova, Peter Thiel, Marc Andreessen, Amanda Palmer, Malcolm Gladwell, Vince Vaughn, Rick Rubin, Reid Hoffman, Jon Favreau, Whitney Cummings, Mike Shinoda, and 300+ more.[
Lore by Aaron Mahnke
Informative, entertaining, and occasionally creepifying. Lore exposes the darker side of history, exploring the creatures, people, and places of our wildest nightmares. Each episode examines a new dark historical tale in a modern campfire experience.
Today, Explained from Vox
Sean Rameswaram takes one issue going on in the world today and breaks it down by talking to experts. Heavy on the US and politics but there is variety and the issues they talk about are often globally relevant. If you go back and listen to old episodes, it gives a lot of context for things going on today.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
