Project Description

The Canadian Network for Ocean Education (CaNOE) strives to amplify, promote and create access to Ocean Education across Canada through its vast network of collaborators and members.

The Challenge

CaNOE already had a website but it was outdated and didn’t reflect their current programs and events, or brand guidelines. Despite their team’s best efforts, they were unable to make the necessary edits due to restrictions set by the previous developer leaving the site feeling dated and frustrating to use.

The Solution

We worked with CaNOE to revamp their sitemap by adding new pages, reworking their navigation so it was more intuitive and removing outdated content. We built them a modern WordPress website reflective of their new brand guidelines that functions on desktop, tablet, and mobile. We also integrated a document library plugin which allows them to easily manage and update their Resource Library. Once the site was built, we provided training to their team to ensure they could make edits and properly maintain their new website without limitations.

The Results

CaNOE now has a website that properly showcases their efforts to provide Canadian ocean education to all ages. The simplified menu highlights CaNOE’s offerings and lets people discover information with ease. The new and improved Resource Library has advanced filtering options and lets users preview resources at a glance. The new website makes learning about our oceans easier and more accessible to all!
